Candle Care 🕯️
Our candles are handmade in small batches, so caring for your candle properly will help you get the best experience from it.
Before each burn
Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before lighting your candle. Remove any loose wick trimmings or debris from the wax surface.
Your first burn
Allow the candle to burn long enough for the melted wax to reach close to the edges of the vessel. This helps create an even melt pool and prevents tunnelling.
Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Every burn
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, children, pets and anything that could catch fire.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Handmade wax flowers
Our floral details are made from candle wax and are part of the candle itself. They are designed to melt as the candle burns.
Keep the wick clear of excessive wax or decorative material and discontinue use if the flame becomes excessively large, produces excessive smoke or the vessel becomes excessively hot.
When to stop burning
Stop using your candle when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.
Never burn a candle all the way to the base of the vessel.
Handmade vessels
Some of our candles are made using our own handcrafted Eco Resin vessels. These have been designed and tested for their intended candle use.
Never place an empty resin vessel over a direct flame or use it as a candle vessel for another candle.
Safety first
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep away from children and pets.
Keep away from flammable objects and drafts.
Never move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is liquid.
If you notice unusual flame behaviour, excessive heat, cracking or damage to the vessel, extinguish the candle and discontinue use.
Enjoy your candle slowly, safely and intentionally. 🤎
